For whom is Duromine prescribed for?





Duromine is for people who are overweight or obese. It is important that Duromine is not prescribed to all patients who are overweight, but those who have a BMI (body mass index) greater than 30 and other health measures to reduce their weight did not help. They usually also have raised cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. Duromine may be prescribed for patients whose BMI is below 30, when obesity threatens their lives.  Candidates for Duromine, which have a BMI below 30, are patients with sleep apnoea, insulin-resistant diabetes mellitus, pre-diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance in association with obesity, high cardiovascular risk status as a consequence of obesity.

If reduce of weight by 5% is not achieved within 12 weeks, treatment with Duromine is cancelled. Duromine is not recommended for elderly people and children.

We have to always exclude the secondary organic causes before prescribe medicine Duromine.

Before use Duromine, always consult a doctor. Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, especially if you have allergy on phentermine. Also inform your doctor if take any other drugs (both prescription and over the counter). Patients who have medical history of high blood pressure, a heart condition, overactive thyroid, arteriosclerosis, diabetes and glaucoma or drug abuse should inform their doctor. Also tell the doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, if you are breast-feeding a child, or if you are prone to agitated states.
